The system is essentially a highly insulated, rising damp resistant, reinforced concrete raft which forms the ground floor and the fixing base upon which any structure is built.

Its unique construction results in exceptionally low U Values (typically 0.15), minimal excavations and reduced site time.

Insulated Floor/Foundation System

Basic Installation Guide

The overall depth of the raft from finished floor level to the top of the hardcore base it sits on is approximately 400 mm.

The hardcore base needs to be at least 150 mm thick and it is within this base that services are run and brought into the house through the raft at the required positions.
Over the levelled hard core we place our L shaped proprietary components.
The L shaped pieces are connected together using a comb type connector.
Additional insulation pieces are laid in place.
Under floor heating pipes are placed, if desired.
Reinforcement steel is then added as necessary.
Finally the pre-mixed concrete is poured and levelled to complete the task.
